Pricing for 1 GB ADSL		What is ADSL ??
ADSL is the fastest way to connect to the Internet. Signing up for our 1 GB ADSL account, means that subscribers will be able to surf the Internet at high-speed and download information (e-mail, images, gaming, sound and video) by simply using you existing phone connection. No need for fancy equipment - just an ADSL enabled phone line and a simple ADSL modem, and a reasonable PC of course. Also, you can easily top-up your account when you've reached your bandwidth limit.

The prices for these ADSL offerings are subject to change and are dependent on the pricing structure employed by Telkom / SAIX. DSL is an access medium to the Internet, while Compu & IT Solutions is an ISP. Thus, Compu & IT Solutions cannot overcome any bandwidth related constraints within the World Wide Web. ADSL eliminates waiting time and provides quick access, but still, we do not have control over where the various web servers are hosted and the amount of subscribers accessing the Internet at any one time. Therefore, it's a best effort service and no guarantees are provided on throughput. Please remember that best effort applies once the Internet is reached. Proxy settings are of great benefit when it comes to an even faster connection. When configuring your settings in your web browser, ensure that you make use of the SAIX proxy servers - one of the largest caching servers in Africa - for an improved experience. Your ADSL connection will stay live if used continuously and therefore, it is recommended that you disconnect when you have concluded your Internet related matters for the day. If you are disconnected by the network, you can immediately reconnect.		How difficult will it be to connect to the Internet ?? VERY easy. Our ADSL connection is always available and it's just one click away. What does the call charges amount to ?? The ADSL service is an always-available connection therefore, there's no need to worry about the call charges or the time spent online. A monthly subscription fee is payable irrespective of the amount of time spent on the Internet. The maximum allowed bandwidth usage, on the other hand, does need to be monitored (i.e. the cap). Will I be able to use my phone line for anything else ?? There's no need to suspend your Internet connection - phone calls and faxes can still be made, received and sent at all times. What is the access speed ?? The up- and download speed will depend on the speed of your connection. We provide you with an ADSL account, a username and password. You'll need to have a previously installed, ADSL enabled telephone line and -modem (see the list of requirements). Do you offer Spam Filtering and Virus Protection ?? All incoming messages to our servers are scanned for malicious and unsolicited content.
