First of all, we issue you with a telephone number. In the event of you receiving a fax, our specialized software will : 1) convert the incoming fax to an e-mail
2) send the converted document to your mailbox For example : You provide your fax number (086 1234567) to your clients, friends, family etc. They send faxes to this fax number of yours by making use of their fax machines, fax modems, E-mail2Fax services etc. After it has been converted, you will receive the fax in your mailbox in the form of an e-mail attachment (.tif format), which you can then print, save, forward etc. etc. You can view your fax with ordinary software such Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. - How difficult will it be to receive a fax ?? It's a very simple process. Simply check your e-mail; new faxes will end up in your mailbox.
- What else do I need to do in order to receive faxes ?? Nothing. We will take care of everything. We will ensure that the incoming fax is converted to .tif format immediately, and that the converted document is sent to your mailbox immediately. You don't have to worry about anything... except for checking your mail of course :)
- Do I need a phone line to be able to receive faxes ?? You don't need any additional equipment. Simply carry on doing what you're already doing. For instance, it doesn't matter whether you're getting your e-mail by making use of a dial-up-, ISDN- or ADSL Internet connection. Simply do whatever you've always been doing to receive your e-mail.
- What's the speed of an incoming fax i.e. the pps (pages per second) ?? We're using very sophisticated software for the conversion process. Therefore, the first part of receiving a fax (i.e. converting the fax document to .tif format) happens almost instantaneously. Thus, the speed of an incoming fax depends almost solely on the speed of your Internet connection (i.e. how fast you're able to retrieve your e-mail).
- What will the cost of your incoming fax amount to ?? Well, it will consist of your monthly subscription fee for this Fax2E-mail service (i.e. R37.00 per month), plus the cost of connecting to the Internet and receiving your e-mail. One would usually retrieve one's e-mail at the most convenient, cost-effective time, which would be the time when you're usually performing this kind of operation. Also, lots of people have 24/7 Internet access (i.e. ADSL Internet connections). Therefore, the cost of a fax is really up to you.
