We are proud to announce the newest addition to Compu & IT Solutions' list of Products and Services !! This feature will allow schools, private schools, home school institutions etc. etc. to advertise any computer related news and/or events in our monthly Newsletter. Thus, if you or your school has something that you'd like the whole world to know about, then THIS is the place to say it loud and clear. Simply send us your computer related news. This could be general news and/or information about an upcoming event you'd like to advertise. Any milestones, achievements and/or news about outstanding students etc. will also do. We even cater for commercial type of ads (note the pricing structure in this regard). We will ensure that every other educational institution in South Africa and clients of Compu & IT Solutions, hear about the news; Newsletter copies will be sent to all subscribed users. PLUS, we'll also place an HTML (online) version of these Newsletters on our website so, watch this space !! Outdated (and/or old) Newsletters will be stored in our database in the form of an e-book (.pdf file). They'll be retrievable from within the archive on this very same website. Therefore, visitors of our website will still be able to download all these Newsletters on a continuous basis from our archive for many years to come. Be that as it may, our Little Leave Letter is for everyone !! 
   
Example..... There are a few basic rules you should keep in mind if you'd like to make use of this service though.... |
Rules : |
1) | Note that Compu & IT Solutions is a neutral organization. This means that we're completely impartial and that we're not prejudiced as far as it concerns any particular school and/or educational organization. Further, we don't do the thing called "recommendations" when it comes to educational institutions. We're not here to confuse you. |
2) | Advertisements will be handled on a first-come-first-serve basis. In other words, a certain location within the Newsletter will be set aside for the first person and/or entity that has ordered and paid for it. |
3) | You (and/or your school's marketing team) is responsible for editing your ad. Compu & IT Solutions won't edit and/or compile the text for your ad; we simply publish whatever it is, that has been given to us, in our Newsletter. Therefore, you are responsible for the text, the wording and/or the exact phrases that will be placed in our Newsletter. |
4) | Advertisements and ESPECIALLY the picture (or photo) that accompanies your ad, should NOT be sent to us by means of fax. By sending a fax, the quality of your picture will deteriorate severely. The advertisement itself (and the photo) should be uploaded when completing the online order form - there's an upload editBox specifically for this purpose. 5) | Ensure that your advertisement is not longer than the maximum allowed words. Remember that a story can fit only a certain maximum number of words in any Newsletter (even in the national Newsletters). If it's too long, we cannot publish it... otherwise, we'll have to truncate it.... |
6) | Make sure that your picture and/or photo (if you have one) adheres to our specifications. If it's too big, we cannot use it. We're not going to resize each and everyone's pictures. Why ?? Simply because we don't have time for this. |
7) | The format of pictures should be either .JPEG or .PNG (if your picture has transparent areas in it). Contact us if this is going to be a problem for you i.e. if you don't know how to convert your picture to one of these formats. We don't want to use .GIF because its quality is very poor. Also, we don't want to use .BMP pictures due to the fact that they're very huge, which in turn contributes to the size (MB) of our Newsletter, download times, bandwidth and disk space. |
8) | Those of you who's going to make use of a .PNG picture should double-check and make sure that your picture has an alpha channel, otherwise it's not going to display correctly. For one thing, the transparent areas won't display as transparent if there's no alpha channel. |
9) | Front page stories are more expensive than the back page story. Also, the back page story is more expensive than the inside stories. This is common standard and since some of the schools and/or organizations print these Newsletters, we've decided to practice this rule. |
10) | Each and every month we have a maximum of two front page stories and one back page story. Therefore, you should hurry if you'd like your story to be published on any of these two pages. Remember : first come, first serve. |
11) | No refunds. Fully-paid-for advertisements are either published (if they're in time) or they get carried over to the next month. Only advertisements that have been paid for in full, will be published. Unpaid, yet-to-be-published advertisements will only be kept for 2 calendar months. After 60 days they'll be deleted from the system. |
12) | Please take note of our deadline. Stories ought to be submitted (and paid for) on or before the 25th of each month. Stories that have not been submitted in time, will be carried over to the next month's Newsletter (provided that it has already been paid for). |
Deadline for ads to be published : 25th of the preceding month Compu & IT Solutions will let you know whether everything regarding your ad is correct. If something's not quite right yet, we'll let you know as well. You (i.e. not we) may then decide to edit and/or correct the contents of your ad before returning it to us for publishing. |
